Thriving in Mining – Lessons to make you think
The Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) Program has developed the Thriving in Mining series of online interactive microlessons, aimed at building respectful workplace culture.
The Mental Health Commission is a partner agency of the MARS program, which funds a range of initiatives and programs to help develop positive cultural change across workplaces and improve mental health and wellbeing in the WA mining industry.
As part of the MARS Program, the Thriving in Mining microlessons have been developed in short engaging modules that are easy to understand and delivered by members of the mining industry.
The format aims to increase knowledge and awareness of mental health and wellbeing, respect and diversity, psychological safety, and alcohol use for workers in the mining industry.
They can be used by individuals, or those wanting to add value onsite at pre-start meetings and toolbox sessions.
The microlessons can be accessed from any device with an internet connection such as phone, iPad or laptop.
