Published on 11 Dec 2024

The State Government has launched the Western Australian Eating Disorders Framework 2025-2030, which outlines strategic priorities across prevention, early intervention, treatment, and support services across the state.

Development of the Framework was informed by a range of national and state consultation activities involving community members, non-government, government, and private sector organisations; a review of current programs and services; and guidance from the Western Australian Eating Disorders Framework Advisory Group.

The Framework builds upon recent investments in eating disorder programs and services in the state, and outlines strategic priorities across prevention, early intervention, treatment, and support services in Western Australia.

As part of the Framework, the WA Government is investing $6.6 million to deliver further initiatives, such as additional online support, a navigation program, screening tools and prevention services.

It is part of the WA Government’s $31.7 million commitment to address eating disorders in the state.
